Moving up in Origami Owl

Advancing in any business can be a tricky course to navigate but thankfully with Origami Owl they give  you a map to help chart the course you need to take to end up where you really want to be!
The promotions in Origami Owl rank in the following order:
  1.  Designer (What everyone automatically starts as)
  2. Leading Designer
  3. Team Leader
  4. Senior Team Leader
  5. Executive Team Leader
  6. Director
  7. Senior Director 
  8. Executive Director
We will cover exactly what you need to accomplish, goals for how to accomplish what is needed and the rewards of each title leading up to Director! But first please make sure to read over the Career Plan as it is given to us along with the very important definition page to follow.  These can also be found in the O2 Academy.


 
So we all start out as a designer. Just you and your jewelry bar! But you can earn more PV than any other O2 member in existence and you will still be the paid rank of a designer.

Moving up in Origami Owl requires you to sponsor New Designers!

So now that we've covered that- You sponsor your first designer! Wait.. you're still showing as a "designer"... why? Because a new designer does not count towards your career plan until they are  "active". What does active mean? Go back and review those definitions again. :) Not only does a designer have to be active to count toward your career plan but you also have specific Personal Volume and Central Team Volume quotas to reach. Here's the break down:




An Override is basically saying that you are making a percentage of your sponsored designer's sales! You are not taking any commission away from your designer. O2 is simply paying you that percentage in addition to your own commissions.

If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 3 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $500 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 3 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.





If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 4 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $1000 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 4 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.






If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 5 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $1500 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 5 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

 




If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 7 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $2000 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 6 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

Just to give you and idea of  what overrides can add up to-- My first override was actually at the paid rank of Team Leader and I was paid an additional $330+ on top of my personal commissions that month. As a Senior Team leader you should expect an extra $1,500+ a month. An Executive Team Leader you're looking around $5,000+. Director: $9,400+ and Senior Director $27,300+ and you're really getting up there as an Executive Director.
*These figures (aside from my own) are based upon the average pay out for each title in 2013.

Those Pesky Pounds



Hello!
As many of us trudge on through our goals and resolutions to diet, exercise and live that perfectly balanced life... life itself gets in the way. I mean, seriously who does this whole living healthy thing right all the time and where’s the hypnotist to help give me that sort of mindset?


What happened?
Many of you followed my brilliant 2 months of incredible weight loss and it was truly an achievement {and in a healthy way}. But as soon as I came back to the states and I was presented with a full time gig, the onslaught of fast food and microwavable meals, life seemed to just get in the way. Since I did not have any goals at the time of my homecoming {as my original goal’s end date was when I got on the plane to come home}I was not trying to lose weight and I ended up gaining well over 20 pounds because I also did not have a goal to stay healthy.



Now what?
Now I find myself living in lovely Florida with bikini season right around the corner and I cannot even manage to wear a sleeveless blouse without feeling the socially pressured need to disguise my extra pounds as a bunched sweater sleeve. So with that uncomfortable existence looming over me I invite you once more to come along on a new journey with me. I will be losing the weight and this time, keeping it off, by making healthy living a lifestyle {no hypnotist involved}.

Yeah, I posted it. There’s nothing to fear in a number. My number is someones goal. I am proud of my number. What I am not proud of is the health choices that I have {or haven’t} made in the past year. It’s not about a resolution, or a desire to fit in, or to even be comfortable in my bikini. It is my goal to work hard to be the happiest version of myself possible and hopefully that will inspire others to find their happy as well.

My happy is me healthy.

Quick and Easy Christmas Ideas!

Hello All You Festive Folk!

Whether you are throwing a chic shindig or just spending some time with the family this holiday season here are some easy ideas to make things a little more jolly!


No matter your plans you want to create a mood for your home. 
Pine tree like garland intertwined with white Christmas lights is a classy way to turn shabby into chic!
I am a person fan of not using the giant gold ribbon but trim away if it makes you happy!

Now lets be honest...the veggie tray has outstayed its welcome at EVERY function throughout the year.
So add some POP when you can!


In any craft store you can find these foam cones and press your mini trees (broccoli) into the base and work your way up! Once your basic tree is complete, start decorating!  Use slices of red bell peppers for garland, baby carrots slide in easily and add some tiny tomatoes by using tooth picks to secure them! You can even cut a star out of a yellow bell pepper for the top of your Christmas tree!


Everyone loves a Christmas cocktail!
And here's your recipe!
Partridge in a Pear Tree Holiday Cocktail 
1½ oz pear vodka 
½ oz lemon juice 
½ oz simple syrup ( or agave nectar) 
Champagne Rosemary, cut into 1½ inch sprigs

What do you get for that guy on your list 
that is dating so-and-so?


Bam! Ask so-and-so (hopefully she has a better name than this) what her guys favorite beer is and then apply eye stickers, pipe cleaner antlers and a little red puff ball of a nose 
(all available at any craft store) 
and you'll have a happy gent indeed!

Speaking of presents- 
Holiday wrapping paper can be a bit cheesy. Why not go with one of these alternatives to your cartoon type of papers? It all starts with simple brown paper.


Taking an alphabet of stamps you can 
custom any gift and forego labels as well! 
Add a ribbon for special effect or 
I am ALWAYS one for using twine!

Another easy option is to forego names entirely!


Simply smack a photo of your recipient 
on their gift and your down! 
Easy but you'll be the talk around the tree!

Oh, the tree!

If this is your first Christmas with a special someone then make sure you get a memento!


Saw off part of the trunk, before or after the season, your call. And make an ornament for the next year! You can add to your collect year after year if you fancy!

If you are one of those families who makes it a point to leave cookies and milk for Santa make sure you include the rest of his night crew working overtime!
My mom always made sure to leave some bound hay for the reindeer but this one goes even a step further!


Donuts for the elves!
Take a match box and fill it with wheat cheerios, frosted cheerios and if your feeling extra crafty- take some original cheerios, dip a side in chocolate and then sprinkle away! 

LOVE THIS!


Finally, a nice and easy gift for your office 
or treat for your guests!
Dip one end of a candy cane into white chocolate and sprinkle with some white nonpareils.

Sabbath Sunday- Revolution

Today's service started out mentioning Florida. 
What? 

Yep- It got my attention too.

The title was Revolution in Circumstances- having revolutions within the circumstances you're going through and not having a a revolutions of circumstances, like "planning a trip to the house on the beach in Florida." 

Okay- I'm listening :)
Philippians 4 is where the message is centered.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

This entire book of Philippians was written by Paul so the context is not someone who is just ridiculously insensitive to people in the midst of trials. And it wasn't like the people he was writing to live in "the Disney of their time" 



The Philippians were not without their hardships and Paul certainly wasn't was well. 



He had been stoned and left for dead, ship wrecked 3 times, whipped and was currently as writing this letter chained to a guard, sitting in prison waiting for death. 
And you thought you had it bad. 


Always rejoice. 

Sometimes we have chosen our circumstances and sometimes our circumstances choose us. It's pretty 50/50.
But choice to how we handle the circumstances is 100% in our control.

Paul is in no way belittling the circumstances. He is only saying to rejoice in the Lord regardless. 

John 16:33 remarks that in this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world!

God's saying-
Ultimately, everything is going to be okay. 
There's going to be tears, anxiety and pain- but in me you'll have peace. 


Peace-
A consciousness that Christ is bigger than whatever it is going on in your life 


Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

Gentleness is the closest we can get to the original word here when translated. Gentleness can also be described as being incredibly generous- when your sense of justice is going too far, to the point of injustice, and you pull back and give grace. 

How do we do this?
By living all your life and all of your circumstances like Jesus could come back ...now. 

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Oh no... not JUST prayer... but on going; not just the hope of an event but submit to a process.

If we don't live the processes 
we're going to fall to circumstances. 
Don't just shoot up panic prayers but say that you want to get a grip on the situation even when you don't want a prayer thing; you want a miracle thing.

Circumstances don't go away. It's far better staying in our circumstances and mature than waiting for our world to change instead of saying Lord change me.

Did you catch that?

When we panic we try to help God fulfill His will. God says that's My will, My promises, stay out of it. 

With Thanksgiving...
This aspect counters culturally to tragedy. In the midst of difficulty to start praising is not the natural. 

But ot transform in the process, in the circumstances and be transformed within them... again not belittling the circumstances but recognizing God's ability to handle them. Doing this will put the enemy in a head spin. We go through the same things as the rest of the world but we go through it differently. 

 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Story time!


Did you know that the Spitfire, British fighter aircraft was used in the making of corrective lenses to restore sight?
The materials used in the design of the plane, upon impact would shatter and when pilots who survived the landing came into the surgeons, one surgeon noticed something remarkable. The pilots who had gotten pieces of this material in their eyes were in pain yes but their es were not getting infected. This material was later used to re-crafted into some of the first contact lenses. 

`I bring this up to illustrate how in the difficult times of life we can come out with the best of stuff and even brand new site.

Paul said- I've learned to be content in whatever the circumstances. 
I like that word "learned". 
It's taken time.
It's not a 10th gift from the Holy Spirit that was never mentioned. It's a learning process. Paul knew what it was to be in need and to have plenty. 

    I can do all this through him who gives me strength. 
    You have to take that into context of what you have just read. Paul is saying he has Superman abilities. 
    Oh yeah, I can do that! Christ strengthens me! I can jump that building, ya know- Christ strengthens me. I got this. 
The verse in itself is a bit of an injustice without the context of Paul's' writing. Whatever life throws at me... and it's thrown a lot, I can remain content.  Not trying to get out your circumstances because the miracle is staying in the circumstances and changing within whatever comes at you. 
Also being careful because simply asking to be taken out of your circumstances without being taught through them in some ways says Jesus is not enough to get you through the 
process an improves being. 

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
