Moving up in Origami Owl

Advancing in any business can be a tricky course to navigate but thankfully with Origami Owl they give  you a map to help chart the course you need to take to end up where you really want to be!
The promotions in Origami Owl rank in the following order:
  1.  Designer (What everyone automatically starts as)
  2. Leading Designer
  3. Team Leader
  4. Senior Team Leader
  5. Executive Team Leader
  6. Director
  7. Senior Director
  8. Executive Director
We will cover exactly what you need to accomplish, goals for how to accomplish what is needed and the rewards of each title leading up to Director! But first please make sure to read over the Career Plan as it is given to us along with the very important definition page to follow.  These can also be found in the O2 Academy.

So we all start out as a designer. Just you and your jewelry bar! But you can earn more PV than any other O2 member in existence and you will still be the paid rank of a designer.

Moving up in Origami Owl requires you to sponsor New Designers!

So now that we've covered that- You sponsor your first designer! Wait.. you're still showing as a "designer"... why? Because a new designer does not count towards your career plan until they are  "active". What does active mean? Go back and review those definitions again. :) Not only does a designer have to be active to count toward your career plan but you also have specific Personal Volume and Central Team Volume quotas to reach. Here's the break down:

An Override is basically saying that you are making a percentage of your sponsored designer's sales! You are not taking any commission away from your designer. O2 is simply paying you that percentage in addition to your own commissions.

If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 3 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $500 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 3 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 4 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $1000 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 4 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 5 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $1500 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 5 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

If this is a level you want to reach, you will want to:
  • Schedule at least 7 Jewelry Bars per month
  • Set a personal sales goal each month of $2000 PV minimum.
  • Share the O2 business opportunity with at least 6 new people each week.
  • Set aside time each week to follow up with current Hostesses, Customers and potential Designers.

Just to give you and idea of  what overrides can add up to-- My first override was actually at the paid rank of Team Leader and I was paid an additional $330+ on top of my personal commissions that month. As a Senior Team leader you should expect an extra $1,500+ a month. An Executive Team Leader you're looking around $5,000+. Director: $9,400+ and Senior Director $27,300+ and you're really getting up there as an Executive Director.
*These figures (aside from my own) are based upon the average pay out for each title in 2013.

I hope that you found this helpful! Please understand that these suggestions for how to reach  higher rank are not guaranteed but will certainly put you on the right path!
